Objective: Define cellular respiration.

Cellular respiration: The process by which a glucose is oxidized ("burned" step by step) inside cells to produce energy (plus carbon dioxide and water.) The overall equation for cellular respiration is:

602 + C6H1206 ---> approx 36 ATP + 6C02 + 6H20
