The Master Online Teacher Certification program was developed to assist professors interested in cultivating exemplary online courses.  This certification includes an online course, face-to-face workshops and hands on training. The faculty selected for this program will learn valuable tools and concepts to increase the interactivity and pedagogical expertise of their classes. 

The following are the certification requirements and a list of what selected participants will learn in each workshop. 

Faculty meeting basic application requirements will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

1Teach an online course for at least one semester – required

2.  Complete the Online Theory and Technology Course - To be done on your own time.  Approximately 4 hours.      

3.  Attend all MOTC Sessions/Workshops and Complete Assigned Work and Pre-reading (both in class and outside of class):

After successful completion of all program requirements, participants will receive compensation: $1,000 in software, electronics or cash (pre-tax).

Estimated time to complete the program is 40-50 hours.

All program requirements must be completed by April 30, 2010.
