Course Approval Checklist
  Complete the course approval form
  Attach your syllabus
  Obtain signatures from you, your department chair, and your college dean
  Send the form to Mail Code 4010

 

 
In order to offer a course for the first time through WSU Online, or to offer a new section of an online course with a different instructor, the online course approval form must be completed and approved by your department chair and college dean, and forwarded to Continuing Education.

 

Course approval, review and evaluation:

  • Fill out the course approval form and send to Continuing Education
     
  • New online course offerings should be reviewed by the department at some point between the end of course development and opening the course for enrollment. This step may occur in whatever manner the department establishes.
     
  • Peer review: This review ideally comes at the end of the development phase (and no later than before the second offering of the course).
     
  • End-of-course evaluation: A standard electronic course evaluation form is provided to all online students at the end of each semester. Evaluation results are provided to the instructors and, with instructor permission, to department chairs and deans (See PPM 8-11)
