| New Tax Credits Available Tax
credits of up to $1,500 are now available for participants eligible for the Hope and
Lifelong Learning programs. The Hope Credit is available for students in their first
two calendar years in Higher Education. The credit is equal to 100% of the first
$1,000 in out-of-pocket tuition and fees paid and 50% of the next $1,000. The
Lifelong Learning Credit is equal to 20% of the first $5,000 paid out-of-pocket tuition
